fun, friendship and fitness
If you're looking for gentle
exercise in a friendly social atmosphere there is no better pastime
than Scottish Country Dancing - we hope you will come along and give it a
try. You don't have to be Scottish and you don't need a partner as we
all take turns to dance with each other.
Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from September through to the end
of May at Tarporley Community Centre. Click here
for further information about our General Class.
In addition to our regular
teaching classes, we arrange a number of dances and Day Schools for
various levels of expertise. Our New Year Ball is the high spot of our
calendar. Look out also for our Spring and Autumn "Nice & Easy" dances
and informal Summer Social dance evenings in July.

Our Wednesday classes are
suitable for all levels:
7.00 - 8.00 p.m.
'First Class' - in this session we aim to master
the basic steps and formations and warm up to familiar or simple
dances - the first hour is suitable for all levels of experience, but beginners
are especially welcome. Click here
8.00 - 8.50 p.m. General dancing - we continue
to work on technique in the main session; newer dancers integrate with the general class very quickly and the more experienced
dancers are always willing to help and encourage.
9.00 - 10.00 p.m. More advanced dancing - a more
challenging session for those with more experience, but all are
welcome to stay and observe - you can learn a lot by watching. Sooner or
later, you'll be ready to join in!
